Stephanie Gibson-Simmons, M.Ed., ECMH-E®, is an educator, author, and speaker with over 30 years of experience across educational systems, leadership, postsecondary instruction, and corporate professional development. Her work centers on occupational wellness, nervous system regulation, and supporting individuals and organizations navigating sustained demands, high responsibility, and the often-unseen effects of prolonged stress.
As the founder of Bathed In Sound LLC, she integrates sound vibrational environmental science, breathwork, and wellness psychology to create cellular-changing, structured experiences that shift how individuals think, feel, and function. Her work is informed by both advanced training and lived insight, offering a precise understanding of how internal imbalance can impact clarity, behavior, and performance over time.
Certified in crystal sound bowl facilitation, breathwork, tuning forks, trauma-informed care, mental health first aid, occupational wellness counseling, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Human Design, she works across individual, educational, and corporate settings. Her approach supports self-awareness, nervous system regulation, co-regulation, and alignment, strengthening how people engage with themselves and others in high-capacity personal settings and corporate environments.
Through immersive sound and breathwork experiences, she facilitates measurable shifts in focus, emotional steadiness, and overall capacity. Participants often experience a cellular recalibration that extends beyond the session itself, influencing how they lead, respond, and sustain performance. Her work reflects a clear understanding that when the internal system is supported effectively, the external results follow with greater consistency and precision.
What is Sound Healing Meditation
If you’ve never heard of Sound Healing, Meditation
Sound Healing: An Introduction to Vibrational Sound Meditation
What is Sound Healing?
Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses sound vibrations to promote healing on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. Rooted in the idea that everything in the universe, including our bodies, is composed of energy and vibrates at specific frequencies, sound healing aims to balance and harmonize these vibrations, thereby restoring health and well-being.
How Does Sound Healing Work?
When our energy becomes imbalanced—whether from stress, trauma, or illness—it can affect our overall health. Sound healing uses different frequencies from instruments like Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, drums, and even modern sound machines to bring the body’s energy back into harmony. These sounds help relax the mind, reduce stress, and promote deep healing by influencing brainwaves and the body’s natural rhythms.
The Benefits of Sound Healing
Sound healing has been shown to offer a variety of benefits:
Stress Reduction: Helps calm the nervous system and promote relaxation.
Emotional Balance: Supports emotional release and clarity.
Physical Healing: Can reduce pain, improve circulation, and boost energy.
Spiritual Connection: Enhances meditation and fosters a deeper sense of spiritual awareness.
Why is Sound Healing Popular?
As more people seek natural and holistic approaches to health, sound healing has gained popularity. It’s an accessible and non-invasive way to improve well-being, offering a wide range of tools and practices—from ancient traditions to modern therapies—making it a versatile healing method for all.
Whether through a group sound bath or personal sessions, sound healing offers a unique way to reconnect with the body’s natural rhythm and find balance in our busy lives.
